Pet Bottle Preform are typically made from the thermoplastic polymer polyethylene terephthalate (PET). The advantages of using PET for bottling are its strength, light weight and recyclability. In order to make plastic bottles, PET must first be polymerized to produce long molecular chains. This process can be complicated and can lead to inconsistencies between PET batches. The two most common impurities in the polymerization are diethylene glycol and acetaldehyde. The diethylene glycol level is kept to a minimum level so that it does not affect the final product. To ensure that beverages are not affected by acetaldehyde, manufacturers use the best injection molding techniques to keep acetaldehyde concentrations at very low levels. Once the PET is polymerized, the bottle manufacturing process begins. First step: PET is first heated and placed in a tubular mold called a parison. After cooling, the parison is cut to the correct length. Step 2: Heat the parison and place it in a bottle mold, which includes a screw head. A mandrel (steel rod) is inserted into the parison to allow high pressure air to enter and stretch the plastic. Then, due to the combination of stretching and high temperature, the molecules are polarized to produce a bottle. Step 3: The bottle is quickly cooled to avoid creep and then removed. Jilian mold can ensure the safety of the whole process when making products, and reduce the problems that will occur in the whole process. At the same time, our product range is also very comprehensive, from 5-Gallon Pet Preform to molds, caps, etc., we will provide you with all the series and equipment.
