Once the PET is polymerized, the bottle manufacturing process begins. First step: PET is first heated and placed in a tubular mold called a parison. A mandrel (steel rod) is inserted into the parison to allow high pressure air to enter and stretch the plastic. Then, due to the combination of stretching and high temperature, the molecules are polarized to produce a bottle. Step 3: The bottle is quickly cooled to avoid creep and then removed.
